Anonymous asked: Do you have any advice for a creative person who is trying to get themselves started on a career path with their art/writing/photos/etc? Do you ever get discouraged with the creative process? What is your personal mantra?
I don’t really have much advice to give you. I’m not sure how to make a life/career out of what you love, I’m still trying to figure that one out hahaha. But, if there’s something you’re truly passionate about and love, keep doing it! Share it with the world and don’t give up.

I get discouraged all the time. There’s always that “I hate everything I’ve ever created and I want to start over from page one” thought that crosses my mind. Especially when I recieve hate on here. But then I realize how far I’ve actually come (comparing photos I took in 2007 to now is comical), and I look at my work and I am proud of things I’ve made (sometimes) and if I’m happy with it, that’s all that matters.
I often get discouraged when I’m editing photos for hours and hours and can’t seem to get the look I want. Or I just simply don’t like the photo. It’s frustrating. So I take a step back for a little bit and try again later. Nine times out of ten I don’t hate the photos anymore and I get the editing done a lot quicker. I think I just get overwhelmed sometimes and need to not think so hard about it.
Sorry if this isn’t any help at all <3
